Kasteel Cru Rose
A classic biere blonde d’ Alsace, fermented using sparkling wine yeast and flavoured with elderberries and berries.
Brewed at the Karlsbrau brewery in Saverne, Kasteel Cru Rosé draws on the dual influences of German expertise to the east and French to the west. Saverne has a significant brewing history. Karlsbrau brewery has operated in Saverne since 1878. Savernes name is derived from the Roman name ‘Tres Tabernes’ after the original 3 breweries of the town. The 3 stars on the Kasteel Cru Rosé bottle and glassware signify these 3 breweries, as well as the founding influences of German brewing on one side and French wine on the other with Kasteel Cru Rosé -the celebrated product of the two - the rising star in the middle.
Serving Ritual
Always serve Kasteel Cru Rosé in its unique flute glass, served on a napkin and presented to the consumer alongside the bottle. The distinctive appearance of the lager should be displayed by using the correct pour, allowing the crisp white head to form and the sparkling bubbles to entice the drinker.
